I have new Cat 6 cable and a brand new Anker USB-C to Ethernet 2.5 gbps dongle.</p><p>My Ethernet drops whenever I plug the MacBook to charge—either by MagSafe or USB-C. I’ve switched USB-C ports (there’s 3) repeatedly and it is definitely dropping the minute I plug in a charger and will resume once I disconnect the charger. </p><p>Anyone experience this? Torsten<p>2022 hab ich mir ein gebrauchtes 100 W Camping-Solarpanel von <a href="https://libranet.de/search?tag=iMars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>iMars</span></a> für 50€ gekauft und eine neue 500W <a href="https://libranet.de/search?tag=Powerstation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Powerstation</span></a> von <a href="https://libranet.de/search?tag=Okitel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Okitel</span></a> für 300€.</p><p>Da ich keinen <a href="https://libranet.de/search?tag=Balkon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Balkon</span></a> nutzen kann, habe ich eine <a href="https://libranet.de/search?tag=Klimmzugstange" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Klimmzugstange</span></a> in einen der Fensterrahmen des Schlafzimmers geklemmt (keine Schrauben, kein Nageln, kein Bohren) und das <a href="https://libranet.de/search?tag=Solarpanel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Solarpanel</span></a> dort mit zwei Karabinern dran befestigt. Da ich zwei Fenster habe und das Solarpanel nur die Hälfte des einen verdeckt, bleibt trotzdem noch genug Licht für meine <a href="https://libranet.de/search?tag=Gr%C3%BCnpflanzen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Grünpflanzen</span></a>.</p><p>Die Idee ist, die Powerstation zu laden und mit der dann Geräte zu betreiben, die bis 500 Watt verbrauchen. <b>Was so weit ganz gut klappt</b>: Mein Espressokocher (365 Watt) und ich verbrauchen zum Espressokochen so viel - oder wenig - Strom, dass ich jeden Morgen einen Espresso kochen kann und der <a href="https://libranet.de/search?tag=Strom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Strom</span></a> abends wieder da ist. An guten Tagen bleibt noch soviel übrig, dass ich damit Akkus, und Handys aufladen kann. Ich hab auch schon mal einen Schonwaschgang der <a href="https://libranet.de/search?tag=Waschmaschine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Waschmaschine</span></a> komplett mit der Powerstation betrieben. Hinterher war sie allerdings leer. (Die Powerstation)</p><p><b>Was doof ist:</b> das gebrauchte Solarpanel hat noch nie mehr als 20 Watt geliefert. Selbst bei direktem Sonnenschein und kühler Luft, sind eher so 5 bis 10 Watt die Norm. Auch doof: die neu gekaufte Powerstation lädt nur noch zu 84% auf. Das ist nach ca. 2 Jahren und geschätzt 200 Entladevorgängen (von denen die meisten nur ca. 10% der Kapazität verbraucht haben) ziemlich enttäuschend.</p><p>Da ich das mit dem Solarpanel am <a href="https://libranet.de/search?tag=Fenster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fenster</span></a> aber eine ganz gute Lösung finde, überleg ich, mir ein neues gebrauchtes Panel zu holen. MissConstrue<p>So, I bought two <a href="https://mefi.social/tags/anker" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>anker</span></a> power banks. One big one, designed for things like laptops and tablets, and one smaller one for small stuff like earbuds, vape batteries, etc. </p><p>Y'all, I plugged them in to charge, and after 30 minutes, they are literally too hot to hold for more than a couple of seconds. That's not normal right? I unplugged them, and 30 minutes later, they're still hot to the touch. I'm kinda tempted to put them in a steel box and leave them outside, but is this as dangerous as I think it is, or am I over reacting? </p><p>(Also, how does one dispose of powerbanks safely and environmentally soundly?)</p>
