My latest release is the digital double A-side single of "Cyber Surf's Up" and "Pale Blue Dot". "Cyber Surf's Up" is kind of a New Wavey surfy synthrock themed around nostalgia for discovering the late 90s internet for the first time. "Pale Blue Dot" is a more downtempo track named after the famous NASA photo

@patamystic @edyother It's truly my pleasure. I was just chatting with my comrade @benda last night about the importance of supporting indie & especially now fediverse artists.
It's imperative that we create and celebrate our own culture and not what the corpos slam down our throats. More now than ever.

Just a reminder, today is #BandCampFriday . When Bandcamp forgoes it's commission. Its a good day to support musicians on the platform, since they get a bit more out of each sale.

I’ve enjoyed the music and sonic art of John Grzinich for many years now, going way back to his work from the late 1990s/early 2000s: much of it is immersive, extended compositional work that borrows respectfully from—and somehow gives back to—its environment.
John has a 25% discount code for #BandcampFriday today and for the rest of March - spring25

Oh my, I'm late for today's #BandcampFriday . Anyone can recommend some #dubtechno albums I should check out? Bonus points if they come with #vinyl versions shipping to Germany at a reasonable price :)
20 years ago I wrote a soundtrack to an indie film that sorta fell on its face and never went anywhere after the premiere because of some falling out between the producers.
It is funny how excited I was to "break into film scoring" after moving to LA and then that happened.
The music is still some of my favorite personal stuff, so I released it all myself:
ok let me be more explicit on my sudden hatred of #bandcampfriday
It's not the first time we got this e-mail (attached to my message) from Bandcamp. Here, for me, I just read "Capitalize on your shit, engage engage engage engage, sell stuff".
I fucking hate that. Yiipee it's a bit more money on our sells, yay... But it just feels like this is the only thing they tried to save with the Songtradr buyout and they really are turning it into a capitalist machine. Bandcamp Friday lost its soul of helping audio creatives, first Bandcamp Fridays were created in Covid period, helped to fundraise union against police brutality when George Floyd was murdered by the police. There was a purpose, there was a team behind it, making it happen and feeling alive, like it was the aim for a progressist music platform to do such things like that.
I feel like the move here was like Songtradr saw how people looove #bandcampfriday because fans can support their fav audio creatives so they kept it alive so we, as customers, won't be bothered anymore by the massive layoff that happen during the buyout "because Bandcamp keeps doing good stuff for artists and fans, you know".
And this is fucking sad.
So now I hate Bandcamp Friday.
It is #BandcampFriday to be sure. And do support artists there.
But here's a reminder that it is *always* #BandcampFriday on #faircamp where you pay the artist directly every day. See the faircamp webring for artists and labels

@buffyleigh yes!
#AnalogRevolution specializes in them. Made inhouse by radical lefties in a small mountain town in northern Georgia!

Any musicians on here happen to sell cassettes on Bandcamp, for #BandcampFriday?
@patamystic me, too. Yours!

Also some #IrishTrad from @edyother to balance it out.
It's #BandcampFriday!
Go forth and make an artist’s day by buying some music!
It's a #BandcampFriday edition of Other People's Music! This week brings us kraut psych, electronic pop, experimental noise rock, drone meets downtempo, & a funky Bowiesque middle finger to Donald Trump.

Snow In Summer turns one tomorrow!
@skysonix and I met here on Mastodon and decided to collaborate on some music and the release of this downtempo and chill drum’n’bass EP was a definite highlight of last year for me. I’m still really proud of this music we made
If you’re checking out music today for #BandcampFriday, I’d love for you to give it a spin!
@g Which one would you recommend if I already have that badass album?
heyyy, it's bandcamp friday!
i just re-released the final batch of old music on my new bandcamp page, so it is now up to date with everything i've done so far
"girls rock" is the sounds of a lonely android girl, as she floats around the moons and planets of an uninhabited star system, creating psychedelic bops and astral jams with the friends that live in her head
also, to celebrate re-releasing everything i've put my entire catalog on sale for almost nothing if you like this sort of thing
thanks for listening!
TFW: You realize that you were an anarchist decades before even hearing the names #Kropotkin & #Bakunin
On that note, it's #BandcampFriday!
What fediverse artists are you supporting today? Hit me up with links!

It's Bandcamp Friday. I released three albums in 2024 & they're all available in digital and physical versions on Bandcamp.
Bandcamp is by far the most artist-friendly music platform in our current media landscape. It's a good day to buy music & support musicians if you can.
