Stefan BohacekSo I've always had a pretty bad sense of direction, and it's not something that has really bothered me, but I'm starting to draw connections with some challenges I have when composing music, specifically, being able to use enough variety in my composition. It just feels like I'm struggling to keep a mental map in my head, and often end up with too much repetition? If that makes sense. My parents always had something on the radio; my older brother sang in HS/played guitar/ was in a four piece country band for several years; I sang in high school/college, and was in various vocal groups over the years. I listen to a lot of different styles of music on any given day. My preference is prog rock/metal. There is more but at this point it's moot.The proclamation? Pound for pound, Imogen Heap is the greatest modern pure musician of our time. Singer, songwriter, composer, musician, creator. Unbelievable talent.There are others out there, I know I probably have never heard, and many I have heard that y'all would argue otherwise, and that's fine. I challenge you to watch, not just listen, to any performances on YouTube of Imogen Heap and walk away feeling indifferent.The gauntlet has been thrown.
