amen zwa, esq.<p>When I was an undergrad <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/EE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EE</span></a>, I used the then-current "Advanced <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Engineering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Engineering</span></a> <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Mathematics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mathematics</span></a>", <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Kreyszig" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kreyszig</span></a> (4ed, 1979).</p><p>It's a superb book for engineers. Over the decades, I've always recommended it to young engineering students. But for the past 10 or 15 years, my new favourite textbook on the subject is "Mathematical Methods for Physics and Engineering: A Comprehensive Guide", <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Riley" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Riley</span></a> (3ed, 2006).</p><p>The first edition of this book came out in 1997, which was long after my school days.
