Andy D :androidHead:<p>5 months at the new (old) company and loving it so far. Building things in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/JetpackCompose" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JetpackCompose</span></a> is so fun, and I have been enjoying mentoring folks in what I learned at the past company. Still though, every day is a learning process. Getting better with multiple flows (REST api) vs single with a graphQL setup. Improving communication skills as I know I don't know everything, and not every opinion is valid.</p><p>The best part is much of the team is in the same place. We know we are all learning still!</p>
Sven Jacobs :androidHead:<p>At this years company <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/hackathon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hackathon</span></a> our project team created a proof of concept <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/KotlinMultiplatform" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>KotlinMultiplatform</span></a> and <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/ComposeMultiplatform" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ComposeMultiplatform</span></a> app for <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/Android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Android</span></a>, <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/iOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>iOS</span></a> &amp; desktop with a single code base for data layer, business logic and UI, well, for everything!</p><p>Within three days we were able to create a simple but functional application from scratch that accesses a <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/Firebase" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Firebase</span></a> backend.</p><p>Still some rough edges on iOS but the future is bright for Kotlin Multiplatform!</p><p><a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/Kotlin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kotlin</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/AndroidDev" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AndroidDev</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/JetpackCompose" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JetpackCompose</span></a> <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/REWEdigital" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>REWEdigital</span></a></p>
Sven Jacobs :androidHead:<p>Since this is an instance about mostly <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/AndroidDev" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AndroidDev</span></a>, some more technical details:</p><p>I develop <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/Android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Android</span></a> apps professionally since 2011. I'm a software developer since the early 2000s though I started to code even earlier when I still went to school. Currently I'm very interested in <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/JetpackCompose" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JetpackCompose</span></a> and think this is an awesome framework. Needless to say that all apps that I write are 100% <a href="https://androiddev.social/tags/Kotlin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kotlin</span></a>. I'm very happy and grateful that I could turn my hobby of coding into a career.</p>
