Ahem, where was i... 🤪 So i expect i'll spend a few days here, before inevitably all the Plasma goodies will seduce me back there again, soon enough.</p>

I'm getting old, & grumpy, & tbh less motivated to have to dive into the Arch Wiki entrails to sort out occasional things, compared to the prospect of KFedora being "all packaged up with a bow on top" for me. </p><p>As so many peeps say, losing the <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/AUR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AUR</span></a> would be a very hard ask... except nowadays we don't need to! As i proved to myself a year or so ago in a VM, in a KFedora installation we can install <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Distrobox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Distrobox</span></a>, with which to create an Arch DB, in which to setup say yay or paru, then lo & behold, we still have the full power of the AUR at our fingertips in a KFedora system; cake, eat! </p><p>I've promised myself though; i am not going to "punish" my Arch tower's super reliability to date by wiping it. I shall happily still use it, until & unless the day comes when i happen to break it beyond my ability to fix it. Sebastian :fox:<p>These dramas in the <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> world show the divisions and rifts, and also, people love drama.</p><p>Honestly, use whatever you want, you are free to use any DE, any tiling WM, even use the tty if you hate GUIs (a bit extreme, but I'm not anyone to force you not to use to).</p><p>I used different DEs and tiling WMs until I stuck with <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/GNOME" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GNOME</span></a> in 2020.<br>Don't like it? Great, I can help you find something else for you.</p><p>Beginners don't know what to choose? Well, let's help them find something they are comfortable with.</p><p>I myself have recommended <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/KDEPlasma" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>KDEPlasma</span></a> to some users, and they are happy, even though I am a GNOME supporter.<br>I care that a user is happy to use something, I think that is the most beautiful thing.</p><p>The drama that exists in the community makes them go away.</p>
