Meagan<p>Did a bunch of test prints today for my altar cloth on scrap canvas and paper. Also tried out my Rosa Mystica block on paper for the hell of it.</p><p>Obviously I'm going to have to look for some smoother, more absorbent fabric for the actual altar cloth. Penny RichardsThe only <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/chalkart?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#chalkart</a> event I try never to miss is the Belmont Shore Chalk Art Contest in Long Beach every October. This was my eleventh time (I think). Today's drawing was based on a depiction of Mary Magdalene in a Dutch missal from c1500. A passerby called her "the Patron Saint of Pumpkin Spice", so that's the title now. It was really fun to do this on busy 2nd Street, right outside a sports bar--Angelenos are pumped for ALL the games after last night's game.
