From Beit Toratah:
Join us for the study of Exodus 33, this Sunday 1–3 PM ET. We are entering the most intimate conversation between Tehovah and Mosha.

Tehovah tells Mosha to lead the people to the promised land but refuses to dwell among them due to their stubbornness. The Daughters of Tisraelah mourn and remove their jewelry. Mosha sets up the Tent of Meeting outside the camp, where Tehovah speaks to her face to face. Mosha pleads for Tehovah’s presence to remain with them, emphasizing that it is what sets them apart. Tehovah agrees and affirms Mosha’s favor. Mosha then asks to see Her glory. Tehovah agrees to reveal Her goodness, but only Her back, as no one can see Her face and live.

From the National Council of Jewish Women, regarding the recent appearance of NCJW at the Supreme Court during the oral arguments for Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic—a case that has the potential to alter the lives of millions who rely on Medicaid for critical healthcare.

"The stakes are impossibly high. For countless people, the healthcare they need to survive and thrive is on the line. If we fail here, the impact will be felt by families across the nation—especially those who are already vulnerable.

This fight is about dignity. It’s about the fundamental right to healthcare. It’s about ensuring that everyone, no matter their income, no matter where they live, has access to the care they need."

Need to change a habit or get into a new groove? Try this Omer program - only $10 for the PDF download, or they have hard copies, too.

"There is a seven-week count (some may be familiar with it being referred to as the Counting of the Omer) which starts on the second day of Passover. Each day is counted, for a total of 49 days. The intention is to be more fully present and to make every day count.

Kabbalah added another dimension to the count. 6 Each of the seven weeks is aligned with particular energy from the Tree of Life which provides for spiritual reflection.

While this count can be done in a rote manner (day one, day two) commemorating what others did in the past, the mystical teachings transformed it from an ancient narrative into a present personal story."

My personal favorite counting of the Omer exercises!

"An innovative, spiritual workbook that integrates the Tarot and the Kabbalistic tradition of Counting the Omer:

• Explores the origins and meaning of the 49-day Kabbalistic meditative practice of Counting the Omer and how it can lead to spiritual revelation, personal insight, and connection with the Divine

• Reveals the correspondence of the Tarot’s minor arcana with the Sephirot of the Tree of Life and explains how both relate to the Omer meditation

• Provides a daily practice workbook that explores the related Sephirot and Tarot cards for each day, examines their Kabbalistic and spiritual meanings, and provides questions for daily reflection and meditation guidance"

From the Kabbalah Experience:
We all live within stories, shaped by metaphors and narratives. Sometimes these metaphors serve us well, guiding us toward wisdom and connection. Other times, they hold us back, like a thistle caught in our shoe. How often do we pause to examine these stories? How might we shift our personal and communal narratives to create new, more meaningful ones?

I am absolutely grinding away at #Hebrew study lately, but I need more listening practice. Anyone have any recommendations for some sort of light #Israeli comedy or something, ideally that I can stream from the US without paying for a whole other streaming service? I feel like most of the options I find are super dark, and there's enough dark stuff hurting my poor brain right now without making my entertainment/language practice about it.

The Counting of the Omer is a time for spiritual introspection and growth. During a time when many of us are feeling deflated and anxious about the state of the world, this ritual can help us to recharge our Neshamah, our soul.

Ritualwell is here for you! Through the 7-week period of the Omer, we’ll provide you with support, accountability, community and creative inspiration to do this spiritual work.

Every week, we will send you an Omer guide for the upcoming week, aligned with that week’s spiritual theme. This guide will include Jewish wisdom texts, readings, sensory explorations, and creativity prompts for the week. The printable PDF will be sent electronically and can be accessed online. When you sign up for Counting the Omer: A Neshamah Recharge, you are also invited to join us for three special community events throughout the Omer periodom Ritual Well:

Min HaMeitzar: From the Narrow Place seeks to dissolve the traditional divide between performers and audience by inviting the kahal (community) into the musical experience. This hour-long program features original compositions by Lev DePaolo, founder and director of MIRYAM Ensemble, scored for voice, Baroque cello, Baroque violin, and theorbo. The repertoire includes settings of Yedid Nefesh, Kol HaNeshamah, Essa Einai, and verses from Yotzer Or.

The ensemble will present fully orchestrated versions of each piece, interwoven with simplified refrains that encourage communal singing. Through repetition, variation, and moments of silent meditation, we will explore how music can foster deeper connection and shared meaning.

We are also honored to welcome Aly Halpert and Hazzan Jessi Roemer, who will share original compositions of their own.
