Jenny<p>I made the mistake of opening <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/NextDoor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NextDoor</span></a> today and found a post praising <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/CO" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CO</span></a> Gov <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Polis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Polis</span></a> for declaring yesterday the 1st <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Colorado" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Colorado</span></a>-<a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Canada" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Canada</span></a> Friendship Day, in response to the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/tariff" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tariff</span></a> war. A guy responded critically, with incredible confidence, that EVERYONE KNOWS that tariffs are a sign of respect for the other country. Turns out NOT applying tariffs is actually disrespectful. Who knew?!? And yes, people responded in support of this idiotic self-appointed maga armchair economist. Make it stop. 🙄</p>
