Petar Toushkov<p>I am very happy to share that, thanks to Literature Ireland, I will be translating into <a href="https://social.petertoushkov.eu/tags/Bulgarian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bulgarian</span></a> the novel "Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha" by Irish author Roddy Doyle.</p><p>The novel won the Booker Prize in 1993. I don't remember exactly why the book grabbed my attention, but after I finished reading it, I just had to convince my publisher to get the translation rights 😀 </p><p>Here's a little something by Roddy Doyle himself about how he came to write Paddy:</p><p><a href="https://www.theguardian.com/books/2009/aug/29/paddy-clarke-ha-roddy-doyle" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">theguardian.com/books/2009/aug</span><span class="invisible">/29/paddy-clarke-ha-roddy-doyle</span></a></p><p><a href="https://social.petertoushkov.eu/tags/translation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>translation</span></a> <a href="https://social.petertoushkov.eu/tags/RoddyDoyle" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RoddyDoyle</span></a></p>
