Just in case anybody had any doubt this would happen, it is clear that a "ceasefire" means as much to Russia as it does to Israel.

This is the note from Brooke, community manager at the Kyiv Independent:

"The news cycle this week has again moved rapidly, particularly regarding a potential ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.

But the reality is even less clear than the headlines: Tuesday night, after Putin and Trump's phone call discussing ceasefire, Russia attacked Ukraine with 150 drones. Even though Putin had agreed to stop attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, drone strikes reportedly led to power outages in Slovyansk, a town in Donetsk Oblast.

We can't yet hear signs of a ceasefire in Kyiv over the sound of continued Russian drone attacks. And meanwhile, to the south and east, the front line continues to move."

Russian state TV says that they will only agree to a ceasefire if Ukraine "disarms", in other words surrenders to Russian forces, and expects to Poland to welcome Russian inspectors at each airfield.

Our project partners from #EcoClubRivne are checking out how to install #solar on the #balcony. How to set ups such a system with a small battery, because there are lots of #blackouts in Ukraine, due to the destruction of the #powergrid by Russia.

I'm stressed and worried about the possibility of an armed invasion of Canada by the US.

I can't even imagine how scary this must be for Ukrainian refugees living in Canada.

For a treat, I ordered food for delivery. The driver's name was listed as Oleksil, which seemed as though it could be Scandanavian. As soon as he spoke, though, I knew better. "Are you Ukrainian?" I rudely asked. Yes, yes he was. I wanted to hug him, but I refrained (wish I hadn't), and said "Welcome, slava Ukraini". He put his hand to his chest and said "Thank you, that means so much to me."

It costs nothing to be kind.

Make no mistake about it. The United States has inserted itself to wage not one but TWO genocidal wars against TWO sovereign nations to strip them of their sovereignty, and in so doing has stripped its own citizens of their Constitutional rights and freedoms while violating International human rights. This will not end well.
