Unexpected and sudden snow, but the statues look serene on my way to work...

Grandpa Bertie is unimpressed with this winter nonsense! It is very hard to find your favorite poo spot when it’s covered in layers of snow, ice, and more snow.
Snow day! Most snow I've seen in 6 years of living on the Oregon coast. #snow #snowday #oregoncoast #dog #adoptdontshop #snowdog #snowday #mastodogs #dogsofmastodon
Found six new friends on my walk today. (Well, seven if you count snow-mama and snow-kid.)

Well, I’ve learned a few things today. First, if you drop a homemade ravioli under the burner of an industrial gas stove, it’s easily rescued by sliding out the tray from underneath the cooktop. Second, vegan ricotta is delicious. And third, if you crawl under your down comforter to take a nap in the afternoon, you will sleep longer than expected and you will wake up with a cat curled up in the bend of your legs.
What a difference a couple of months makes! My girl is happy and loves playing with doggy friends. #Dogs #DogsOfMastodon #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #SnowDay #SnowDog
Snow on the beach is a rare novelty here on the Oregon coast, but we got it this morning.
We had a magical hike in the forest this morning. A light dusting of snow added an extra dimension to our usual green and brown views.
Very few people were out in the snow, so we almost had the trail to ourselves.
In some places enough snow had fallen that our footsteps scrunched loudly in the way that it does when it's not very cold.
I miss cold and snowy winters a bit. But then it all goes away after a few days, and I'm not too sad.
Snow in the South? It only happens once every three years—like clockwork! On 1-29-22, I stood outside my home in a rare snowfall, teaching the Hebrew word for snow. And guess what? It hasn’t snowed since… until this week!
Looks like I brought a little Hebrew winter magic with me! Watch this throwback lesson and learn how to say snow in Hebrew. Who knows—maybe we’ll meet again in the next three-year snowfall!
We rarely get snow here at all and this is the most I remember seeing in years and years. The last time we even got a dusting was six or seven years ago. So, I bundled up and crossed the street after the sun came up this morning.
If you've ever said you'll do something "when hell freezes over," then you're on schedule to do it tomorrow.
(It's #HootinTootinTuesday again! Post some jokes or funny memes under this hashtag today, and bring lots of smiles to #Mastodon.)
