My first "fun yarn" socks are done! I was clearly stressed when working on my second sock as the tension is significantly tighter (might have to size up my needles for the next pair 
), but they are cute and chaotic and I am proud of them

I have been a busy lil bee today. Got work-work knocked out, then made a trip to the Post Office to return an Amazon order/buy snacks for tomorrow. Then I had a bath. Which means I'm tired AF, but never mind. *laughs* I did get most of my fayre prep sorted yesterday; today I think I'll make a point to load my display stuff into the car. The less to do tomorrow morning, the better.
For now, get the yarn left from the socks I finish balled up and stored, and then get a new pair started. Best to go find a pattern.
I've seen teeny tiny crochet hooks - 0.6 mm. I've even used them.
But I've never seen #knitting needles of that size. Until today.
I've seen instructions for sock knitting from the late 18hundreds, that suggest to cast on up to 160 sts for one sock. No needle size given, but they are probably in that range ...

A bit of train #knitting . Normally I knit toe up 2 at a time to avoid 2nd sock syndrome. This time, I am knitting 1 sock toe up but will choose another pattern for the 2nd sock and go with cuff down. No one examines my feet closely so they'll never know

Usually I just pick out a pair of socks without thinking about whether the color goes with the rest of my clothes. That's my silly little fashion rebellion.
This is one of my favorite pairs, although it came out a tad too large.

These socks only needed a few rounds on the toe, closing the toe and weaving in ends.
And as I don't wash and block socks that are for me: new socks to wear to the knitting group tomorrow. And to the hair dresser (I really need some more pink or purple in my hair!)

Current progress on these two-at-a-time tie-up up socks, I decided on this textured knit purl combination. I really like how it’s working up. I still have to decide the type of heel I’m going to do. I have never done toe-up, any suggestions for a heel that you all like?
