John_Newall<p>OTA updates are so impersonal. That's why I deliver my firmware updates over a bowl of ramen. Gave the hardware a sparkly red case upgrade too. <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/electronics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>electronics</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/hardware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hardware</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/gamedev" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gamedev</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/attiny85" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>attiny85</span></a></p>
John_Newall<p>Decided my game console deserved a case. <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/blender" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>blender</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/electronics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>electronics</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/attiny85" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>attiny85</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/microcontroller" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>microcontroller</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/diyelectronics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>diyelectronics</span></a></p>
John_Newall<p>Attiny85 game console hardware troubleshooting - Unbelievably, it does work. Macro photo for your entertainment and to document the ridiculous troubleshooting journey I took. <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/hardware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hardware</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/attiny85" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>attiny85</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/electronics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>electronics</span></a></p>
Chronocide<p>Would anyone have a good place to find commonly used microchips for various projects? I've heard of chips such as the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/attiny85" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>attiny85</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/STM8S001J3" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>STM8S001J3</span></a>, but I have no clue how to _search_ for chips. Is it a matter of going to places such as mouser or digikey and filtering until you find something you need or is there a better way to do it?</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/hardware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hardware</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/chip" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>chip</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/diy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>diy</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/electronics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>electronics</span></a></p>
