Die Trommel war die Zeitung für Thälmannpioniere, d.h. vierte bis siebente Klasse. Auflage 1,2 Mio Exemplare. Presseerzeugnisse waren staatlich kontrolliert, es gab praktisch für jede Zielgruppe nur eine Zeitung/Zeitschrift. Papier war knapp und wieso sollte sich der Staat selbst Konkurrenz machen. Es gab ja nur eine staatlich geprüfte Meinung. Diese Meinung war nicht rassistisch. Die Vorgabe war Völkerfreundschaft. Das kann man an dieser Seite sehr schön sehen. Die DDR hat Kinder aus anderen Nationen zu Sommerferienlagern eingeladen. Es gab kulturellen Austausch. Wie man weiß, trägt das Kennenlernen von anderen Menschen zum Abbau von Vorurteilen bei bzw. lässt diese gar nicht erst entstehen. Die Erziehung in der DDR war antirassistisch.Das bedeutet nicht, dass es in der <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/DDR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DDR</a> keinen <a href="https://climatejustice.social/tags/Rassismus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Rassismus</a> gab, dass es keine rassistischen Menschen gab.
