Educate Yourself<p>Although both <a href="https://hear-me.social/tags/men" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>men</span></a> & <a href="https://hear-me.social/tags/women" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>women</span></a> are affected by narcissism, women are much more prone to this life-damaging abuse(abused by both men and other women).<br>These are just a few words from some women who went through it and survived, some dont.</p><p>"I am very old now but I have only just discovered about covert narcissists, and realise these are the people I have had in my life all the time, from childhood. I am now on my own but others think it is because I am the awful one because I do not have anything to do with these people anymore including my own children, who turned out like their dad, a narcissist. Life feels very lonely."</p><p>"My marriage was shaky from day one, but when I said to the narcissist that we could go into counselling to try and sort things out, he said, 'Why should I do that when it isn't my fault, it's yours.' You can't discuss anything with these individuals; In the end, after 40 years of marriage, I was the one that said 'Goodbye' to our fractured relationship."</p><p>"My son was recently in an accident where he was seriously hurt but will recover just fine. My sister asked me if I cried when I found out because she cried her eyes out. Like it was a weird, creepy competition on who was more hurt. Who the hell competes over something like that? ThreeOfUs<p>2/ I can’t decide whether the unpleasantness of living near her family is a price worth paying to live near my kids. I think I need to stay away from that town because being under her and her family’s influence was horrible. I do find it really hard though to decide just how bad they were to me.
