Reminder that Bible passages which have been weaponized against homosexuality using bad English translations, were actually about pedophilia. The bigots began to equate pedophilia with homosexuality, which is not accurate to other language translations of the Bible, nor the previous 2,000 years of Christian theology. This lie is completely in line with Conservative ideology, which is always claiming that "queers are targeting our children" and that "drag is pedophilia", and the existence of queer kids is used as proof of "grooming" instead of proof of natural diversity.

Note: This source is the United Methodist Church, a fundamental, traditionalist denomination which used to ban homosexuals from ministry, and only changed their stance last year (though this article is older than that, it has been a point of division in the church for a while). Just to show that this is not biased.

United Methodist Insight · Has 'Homosexual' Always Been in the Bible?A scholar uncovers evidence that the Greek word translated as "homosexual" in modern versions of the Bible actually meant something quite different to its originators.
March 8th is International Women's Day and, although I always appreciate the lovely gerberas they give away in restaurants and shops, let’s not forget this is about women’s rights and less about “feeling pretty and loved”. I’m lucky enough to feel supported by my community and country, but this isn’t the case for all women. Let’s keep fighting for equality and liberation for all 💗 #internationalwomensday

Unfortunately #wikipedia doesn't really offer a neutral view of the world. Only about 13 % of the authors are women. There were projects to change it, but many women (including me) were put off quickly because of the behaviour of other authors & especially the admins. When you write an article about a woman odds are high it will be deleted quickly, bc it's not relevant. The idea is good, but the implementation is biased. #ProjectRewrite #feminism #GenderEquality

When we talk about women being treated differently in the workplace, it's not always blatant enough to report.

It's being given eye contact less frequently in groups.

It's being interrupted more often.

It's the boss positioning their chair away from you and towards the person sat on their other side.

It's things that, at first glance could be dismissed as you simply not being liked as much, until you see and hear it happening to the other women.

When Statues Become Fathers: Creative Street Art on Equal Parenting

What happens when male statues become fathers for a day? A creative campaign in Sweden is challenging traditional norms about parenting roles.

Imagine a bronze statue of a stoic leader, now wearing a bright pink baby sling with a doll nestled inside. On International Men’s Day, November 19th, male statues across Sweden were adorned with baby slings and carriers as part of a unique campaign to spotlight unequal parenting responsibilities.

Traditionally representing power, labor, or other masculine attributes, these statues were reimagined to symbolize fathers as caregivers. The campaign, organized by the think tank Arena Idé, is part of the #kvantitetstidspappan initiative, aimed at encouraging fathers to spend more time with their children and urging employers to play a larger role in enabling this.

Despite Sweden’s globally recognized parental leave policies, significant disparities remain. Swedish fathers take only 30.9% of parental leave days and 38% of sick leave to care for children.

A recent Novus survey, conducted in collaboration with Make Equal, further reveals that expectations around parental leave remain unequal in Swedish workplaces. Through this campaign, Arena Idé hopes to challenge these norms and has proposed an employer bonus for workplaces that encourage an equal division of parental leave.

The statues involved in the campaign—such as Standing Man in Umeå, Det svenska tungsinnet in Malmö, and Hjalmar Branting in Stockholm—were decorated with dolls in baby slings and carriers.

This created a contrast between the statues’ traditional symbolism and the modern role of engaged fathers.

The initiative draws inspiration from the UK-based group The Dad Shift, which earlier this year launched a similar campaign highlighting gaps in Britain’s parental leave policies.

Vilgot Österlund, a statistician at Arena Idé, emphasizes the importance of changing workplace norms: “When discussing gender equality in workplaces, the focus is often on women and the negative consequences of inequality for them. But here, we see that men are also losing out on something invaluable—time with their children. Through the statue campaign, the new statistics, and our proposals, we hope to make this clearer!”

How do you perceive the use of public art to challenge parenting norms? Can such initiatives drive societal change? We invite you to share your perspectives in the comments below.

Shut off the cable news/entertainment channels for some time to reflect on where we are as Americans today in society. And think how we got here. Do not listen to punditry, specifically shut out left leaning pandering channels along with Fox. They are part of the problem. Maybe use your brain for a change. See what you find. The questions to ask are --

1. How and when did America start encouraging criminals to be political leaders?

2. How/when did we start glorifying ignorance over education?

3. Why did Americans start to think that separation of church and state is a mistake?

4. When did we Americans became so perverted with gender equality that we forgot basic human decency to honor the normal human tendency to gravitate towards biological gender recognition and pushed DEI down the throat instead of teaching people that they should be civil and respectful to all human beings irrespective of their gender preferences?

5. When did we start prioritizing the neutral perception in our justice system instead of pursuing justice?

If you think through, I don't think you will like our current Democrats very much. Because, they did nothing to revert the trend. Only gave lip service. And voters kicked them out everywhere.
