Kevin Karhan :verified:<p>Tho I can tell from testing first builds of <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://infosec.space/@OS1337" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>OS1337</span></a></span> I can assure you it'll not be as fast as the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaSkda4XW3k" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Tandy 1000RL</a> booting <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/MSDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MSDOS</span></a> from <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/ROM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ROM</span></a> but that's solely due to the fact that more modern architectures like <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/i486" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>i486</span></a> have way more stuff going on than the <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/i086" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>i086</span></a>... </p><ul><li>Still I think that this can be a really nifty tool when combined with a <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/TUI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TUI</span></a> / <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/CLI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CLI</span></a> - based "<a href="https://infosec.space/tags/desktop" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>desktop</span></a>" or at least easy to use menu and programs to get that experience in 80x25 lines [24 useable, 25th being used as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taskbar" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em>taskbar</em></a> for OS/1337 and indicate essentials like which session is being used, battery percentage and time / connected host on SSH...</li></ul>
