Luke Harby<p><strong>Please help my friend if you can</strong></p><p>This is a wonderful talented artist, Jen Bandini. She has been in and out of hospital with existing and new symptoms. </p><p>Consequently her landlord served her an eviction notice, and her beautiful dog Pippa was put into foster care. </p><p>She is hoping to return to North Carolina to be with friends and family and then hopefully reunited with Pippa. </p><p>Any help is greatly appreciated: <a href="https://www.freefunder.com/campaign/jen-needs-help" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">freefunder.com/campaign/jen-ne</span><span class="invisible">eds-help</span></a></p><p>(or please share if you can).</p><p><a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/FediHelp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FediHelp</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Charity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Charity</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Homelessness" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Homelessness</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Eviction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Eviction</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Landlord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Landlord</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Landlords" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Landlords</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Rent" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Rent</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Dog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Dog</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Foster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Foster</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/FosterCare" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FosterCare</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/DogsOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DogsOfMastodon</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Homeless" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Homeless</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Shelter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Shelter</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Charity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Charity</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Help" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Help</span></a></p>

Maggie Maybe<p>I’m a little nervous about this one mainly because it sponsored by one Republican and no one else.</p><p>The title makes it sound good because it’s changing the notice from the <a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/landlord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>landlord</span></a> from 30 days to 60 days if they want you to get out and you’re only on a month-to-month lease.</p><p>But then if you look at the text it says that seven days is sufficient in certain situations.<br>I’m not super smart about this stuff, but I looked at the RSA and this bill would say seven days is sufficient for notice if they are being asked to leave for nonpayment or lease violations or damage, but my brain isn’t helping me figure out what the current notice requirement is for that. So I suspect that everybody gets 30 days notice and now they want to change it so that you only get seven days notice unless they just want you to leave just because then you would get 60 days. (IF YOU ARE GETTING <a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/EVICTED" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EVICTED</span></a> IN NH GO TO COURT, THEY PROVIDE A FREE LAWYER IF YOU QUALIFY &amp; if you aren’t being evicted for doing bad things they will give you extensions. A judge wasn’t going to put an elderly disabled woman on the sidewalk just because she changed her mind about moving out.)</p><p><a href="https://gencourt.state.nh.us/bill_status/legacy/bs2016/billText.aspx" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">gencourt.state.nh.us/bill_stat</span><span class="invisible">us/legacy/bs2016/billText.aspx</span></a></p><p><a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/NH" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NH</span></a> <a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/HB351" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HB351</span></a> <a href="https://zeroes.ca/tags/housing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>housing</span></a></p>

Heliograph<p>👀 <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/TIL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TIL</span></a> Monopoly wasn't invented by the Parker Brothers, nor the man they gave it credit for. In 1904, Monopoly was originally called The Landlord's Game, and was invented by a radical woman. Elizabeth Magie's original game had not one, but two sets of rules to choose from. <br>One was called "Prosperity", where every player won money anytime another gained a property. And the game was won by everyone playing only when the person with the least doubled their resources. A game of collaboration and social good.<br>The second set of rules was called "Monopoly", where players succeeded by taking properties and rent from those with less luck rolling the dice. The winner was the person who used their power to eliminate everyone else.<br>Magie's mission was to teach us how different we feel when playing Prosperity vs Monopoly, hoping that it would one day change national policies.<br>When the Parker Bros adopted the game, they erased the "Prosperity" rules and celebrated "Monopoly". <br><a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/ElizabethMagie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ElizabethMagie</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/Monopoly" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Monopoly</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.au/tags/Landlord" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Landlord</span></a> <br>HT Tumblr.com/soberscientistlife</p>
