Today I found this Cladonia lichen in the woods on a large fallen log among the moss. The trunk has been there for a long time. It's mostly moss-covered, elsewhere the bark has been worn away by scarecrows or fallen to the ground. Fortunately, this area is not a logging area, no one removes dead wood. Typical Cladonia shapes look like cups or tubes, and are about five millimetres in size at most.

Macro photo of Cladonia lichen, typical shape like a tube with the extended end upwards. Or like a cup. It's grey-green in colour, with tiny beads of reddish-brown around the perimeter of the cup. The shape is about five millimetres high and its surface is like irregular velvet. Green moss grows around the lichen. The background is indistinct and green; these are also the more distant moss petals. Macro photography does not allow to focus the whole image, even what is a few millimeters away is out of focus.
