How wonderful is existence, to be one of the many emanations of a world always longing to know itself again whether in the skin of a frog, a rock, a rose, the sky, or me! We give and take and feel and think and breathe in all in our infinite variations and ever-living connectedness. Each of us has never been before and will never be again, and through us the world delights anew.

And what sweet, dark peace when this form, too, crumbles away, like a wave upon the rocks spraying back into the vastness it was always part of. What bone-deep surrender in relaxing back into the Oneness, releasing that lovely fleeting illusion of individuality like a butterfly that you may admire and enjoy, but never clutch in a crushing grip.

(4/4) I know that I’m parroting platitudes, but we need to think creatively.

In one of her writings, #HannahArendt described #WalterBenjamin as being like a pearl diver, bringing old stones to the surface and seeing them in new light.

Benjamin couched his #Marxism in #mysticism, and was able to see more creatively than others. We need more Walter Benjamins.

At the same time, we need to get over negative critique and begin developing a positive vision. #Solarpunk is only the first step.

I’m an #artist with imposter syndrome. I still feel weird calling myself an artist but people have paid to buy my art so I think I qualify, lol.

I’m a lover of #astrology #spirituality #occult #mysticism #philosophy and #psychology and I do tend to inject aspects of these into my art.

I’m running out of characters to use. I hope my first toot smelled fine, lol.

How can our art & activities hold space against a tide of ignorance & hate?

I expect we're going to see a lot of persecution, esp of women, of people who reject puritanism & RW christianity. It would not surprise me if men starting accusing other spiritual paths of being "witchcraft."

They intend to force their cult onto everyone, using police state violence.

Our art can speak up.

In this image I tried to weave together indigenous Australian dot-painting technique with Byzantine mosaics of Jesus and Hindu depictions of various deities to try to signify common threads between Eastern and Western forms of philosophical Idealism as well as the indigenous Australian 'Dreamtime'. Notice the eyes looking up toward the figure's right hemisphere.

To that end, going forward I'm going to post a bit more on being spiritually oriented and other connections to the Divine.

And then Marija emerged from her Substack silence with this, a message that ties in with The End of Separation and the framework I have been exploring. Part of the masculine-dominant paradigm has been a pattern of giving away our power, connecting to divinity & sacredness through priests and prophets rather than through our own innate capacities, worshiping messengers rather than simply receiving their messages. This is a beautiful reminder to reclaim our own wisdom & connection. A faceless god, a nameless faith on our true connection to the divine, by Marija Petkovska Nov 11 ...Many have forgotten how truly divine such an endeavour [as birth] is. The symbolism of the divine was rooted in something tangible felt, seen and experienced. ...God in all of her complexity is simple. We never really needed a church or a priestess to connect with what is innately a part of us. They are good tools. They are valuable ways to intentionally enter sacred space. Remember the sephirot graphic I was working on, coloring mandalas in the four worlds color scheme? I finally got it finished. It took about two years, off and on - I'm guessing somewhere between 150 and 180 hours total.

Now I'm going to set it up as a wall hanging, first off, then I want to have fabric printed for sewing. Not sure how to do that...if anyone has suggestions I'd love to hear them.
