The group started 9 years ago on another well known platform and over the years it stopped serving our purposes. My hope is that this space can help connect our local community and inspire others to follow suit. I prefer she/her and they/them pronouns and I default to using they/them pronouns with new people that don’t specify a preference. I look forward to sharing my creations and offering support with questions about any skillsets that I am able!

elizardInspired by Caitlin Ffrench's book Gathering Colour, I planted indigo in my <a href="https://phire.place/tags/CommunityGarden" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CommunityGarden</a> plot this year. I can't be arsed to deal with an indigo vat in our apartment, so I experimented with fresh leaf indigo dyeing. Some things I learned:1. Bayleaf Handmade GoodsI’ve got workarounds for small products, but finding somewhere to photograph my mannequins/dress forms wearing the clothes I make has been an ongoing saga. I have soft spots for building irl community (although thats on hold), uncovering history and aro politics (trust me, everything is connected to amatonormativity) I'm interested in <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/needlefelting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#needlefelting</a> and <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/naturaldyeing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#naturaldyeing</a> I've been learning about <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/invasivespecies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#invasivespecies</a> and how to remove them. I'm in the pnw so the main culprits are Himalayan blackberry, english ivy and morning glory. Clearing those to help restore the environment a d create public space has been my biggest pandemic project. I also care a lot about <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/mutalaid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#mutalaid</a> and <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/mutualism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#mutualism</a>. I'm still learning tons but i find myself generally having an <a href="https://sunbeam.city/tags/anarchist" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#anarchist</a> perspective. I'm working to learn more about white supremacy, colonialism, decolonization and anti racism
