pkufeldt<p>I have had a couple of owl boxes over the last decade, trying to attract a breeding pair of owls. The first box was large, sized for barn owls. It occasionally attracted Western Screech Owls but only as a food cache. After some 5+ years I finally did my research and found that Western Screech Owls prefer a much smaller nest box. Using some scrap redwood fence wood I built one to spec. That box has been up for 3 years or so. /1<br><a href="https://mas.to/tags/owls" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>owls</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/westernscreechowl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>westernscreechowl</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/birding" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>birding</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/nesting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nesting</span></a></p>
