Clara L.
I had an ovary-sparing hysterectomy when I was 31 (buncha reasons, not cancer). Now at 36 I have 3 providers telling me I'm showing signs of perimenopause and want me to start on HRT.

Gyno wants to put me on a Patch for estrogen, and a progesterone pill. She's offering me a choice between Sprynd and Prometrium. I'm surprised at the differences between the two and am having a hard time deciding.

I also have "mild" PCOS that I'm taking Spironolactone to manage. My free T is quite elevated but my total T is on the low end of the range for a cis woman. My gynecologist and endocrinologist can't agree on whether testosterone should be given to a woman with PCOS at this point, or if I should come off Spiro first.

Any #perimenopausal folks here have any insights to offer on Patch+Prog? Bonus if you're also #PCOS and perimenopausal?

Angela
Welp, seems I jinxed myself exulting about #TheSubstance and #bodyhorror, because my stupid #perimenopausal meatsack has hit me this week with some fresh hell. 😂😭

Old pain returned, joined by new pain, and a new symptom I can't even bring myself to discuss on main.

Good Lorde, corporeality was a mistake.
