An amazing find in the attic
I can only guess that this was acquired some time ago; either bought, found or by attendance at the event (rather unlikely)
He died 16th January 1864 (according to Google - other search engines are available, we shouldn't be supporting this one any more I know)

From the first box of glass plate negatives.
A reenactment march of Cromwell like soldiers, going through an unknown English town or village.
There is no information on the plate, so I've really no idea who, why, when or where.
Interesting juxta positioning of Victorian audience vs the medieval troops

Two cool images from the first box of glass plate negatives.
Not really sure what's going on on either to be honest.
The first chap has his bed of nails and juggling clubs with a strange device around his neck, the second showing somebody wearing unusual head gear.

I found several old boxes in the attic containing glass plate negatives. These are 120 -140 years old from a relative that clearly had skill, money, equipment & time to travel around the continent capturing all kinds of images.
I've put these 2 together as they compliment & contrast so well.
A cat, wearing glasses, reading a book & a noble Indian looking chap with fine clothes & whiskers to match.

The back end of some very beautiful cars.
I'm no petrol head but I do appreciate fabulous design when I see it, these art deco inspired vintage American cars from the 50's are amazing.
Oddly I find the rear of the car to be much prettier then the front 😄
So sleek, curvy - akin to the batmobile, maybe that's where I get my vibe from.
