My contribution to #SuperbOwlSunday, I decided to do a 1 hour painting of an owl that I found on wikipedia. I finished in 47 minutes in part because I got frustrated, but the finished piece isn't too bad for a quick sketch!

Up next for #SuperbOwlSunday - A Northern Pygmy-owl (Glaucidium gnoma) glaring down from a tree branch in British Columbia, Canada.
You guys, I actually have a pic for #SuperbOwl Sunday. This is from The Willows sanctuary in #aberdeenshire #SuperbOwlSunday
Love that owls are being celebrated today. Happy Superb Owl Day! This is my watercolor painting of the Great Horned Owl that stayed in our pine tree all day. It felt like a gift.

Taking a break from #ArtABCs to post this #SuperbOwl
I love doodling in a 'folk art' style because that makes every misplaced line part of the charm, like when I cook 'rustic' food but really I'm just being messy
(No shade on other folk artists & rustic cooks, your work is perfection)
I am happy to see many this year carrying on the tradition of posting their #SuperbOwl photos. I'll be sharing a few this #SuperbOwlSunday as always, and lets start with this gang of Snowy Owls I photographed in 2012. They look like they are about to get up to no good.

The only superb owl I need today is one that can help me with my mouse problem. #SuperbOwlSunday
