This does not surprise me. Poor battery quality seems to plague e-bikes with after market kits (and others). BUT there is a failure in relation of the sellers - Amazon and Ebay sell this risky shit all the time with no come back. Maybe they should be forced to take responsibility - and that includes criminal liability.

Mobile coverage on the Elizabeth line is now complete, with #TfL and Boldyn Networks providing 4G connectivity across all tunnels. Passengers can stay connected throughout their journey. Coverage is also expanding on the #London Underground, with the Bakerloo line tunnels going live soon. The rollout involves all four mobile operators, enhancing safety, staff communication, and supporting the future Emergency Services Network (ESN).

"#TfL currently has no plans to re-extend the Bakerloo line to Watford Junction. We are currently focussing on upgrading the existing line through the provision of new rolling stock and increasing service frequencies, as well as developing a southern extension of the line from Elephant & Castle to Lewisham, and potentially beyond Lewisham to Hayes and Beckenham Junction."

I was reading about the TFL cyberattack, the aftermath of which is still causing a lot of problems, such as for this poor lad called Melford.
How is the Bus Fare Cap rising supposed to help people like him, already skipping meals so he can afford to travel?

One person who has definitely noticed the scale and the impact is Melford, a 16- year-old student at Havering Sixth Form College in east London. He told London Centric he has been walking miles to college every morning and skipping meals because the cyberattack removed TfL's ability to issue him a new discount travel card — and stopped him spending the money he had already loaded on his old Oyster card. Melford said he has simply run out of cash due to TfL's failings: “My budget was perfectly set for travel and food during the week but this month has been unbearable. I've been way over budget and have had to cut out some days when I'd eat in order to make it to school.”

Introduction: crowd sourced pictures and reports of the cycle journey counters installed by #TransportForLondon #TfL on London's cycleways #CS3 Victoria Embankment and #CS6/#C6 #Blackfriars Road.

Since the totems were installed in February 2018, circa 15 million journeys have been counted and displayed by the two counters (when they have worked!) - over 10 million along #CS3, and over 4 million along #CS6

Regulars have used hashtags #CS3Count and #CS6Count on the birdsite to share reports.
