Steven Fisher‘You Dirty Rat’ 30”x40” Acrylic. Weltschmerz Series **This is parody in order for social commentary using our childhood cartoons, or representations of, etc and how they might react/exist entering our current reality.** My childhood cartoons would not believe or make sense of our world today if they found themselves transported out of the world they currently live in…brightly colored and resolutions in 22 minutes. This is part of my series expressing my thoughts at the state of our country, world, culture … today. Without being overtly political— and to maintain a commentary on it being more about culture than politics— I needed to find a way to express my concern (as well as be therapeutic for me).
