Mensen vallen over disruptieve acties van #XR, maar dit zijn maar enkele acties. In het land zijn er zoveel meer kleine en/of lokale acties, maar deze zijn helaas niet of nauwelijks zichtbaar doordat het niet interessant is voor de media. Jammer want vaak ludiek, creatief of omdat het nabije leefomgeving direct raakt.

After the devastating Dutch elections [‘23-11-22] I decided to dedicate my toots back to the original goal.
I care about a lot of issues, most global some national; but I won't be 'tooting' about them all.
First and formost I WANT to 'toot' about:

Because I trust that most people reading know about the dreadfull future of climate change, I want to spread the, possible, solutions to a problem rather than reiterate on the problem.
* #ClimateJustice
One of those solution might be sueing the polluters or governments on human rights, violations or #Ecoside
* #ClimateAction
Action is by all means a solution.
* #ClimateEmergency
* #Climate
As said I want to focus on the global issue. I don't want to nitpick on too much principles. Like: "What's worse: eating cows or driving diesel?" Both are devastating behaviors of intitled rich people!
On the otherhand therefore I truly respect ANY effort to make a change for the better.
Most of all... I want to add instead of preach. Bring some bits of the puzzle to the table.
I'm NOT a scientist of any kind. I'm just a disabled old white guy typing on a desk reading and searching a lot.
I tend to toot 10-15 toots at 13:00* that I boost again unchanged at 20:00* the same day, but that's NOT a promise. [*=my [Amstedam] time]

XR – IJssculptuur ijsbeer op Mariaplaats Utrecht
Er zijn plannen om op vrijdag 14 februari een ijssculptuur van een ijsbeer op de Mariaplaats in Utrecht te maken. ’s Ochtends wordt er een blok ijs van 2 meter geplaatst. IJskunstenaar Frank de Conynck zaagt hier gedurende de dag een ijsbeer uit. Dit is een initiatief van Extinction Rebellion Utrecht (XR). Met deze ijsbeer vraagt XR aandacht voor het smelten van het ijs op de Noordpool en de gevolgen daarvan. Laat de ijsbeer in de kou staan, stelt XR.
Vrijdag om 16:00 uur is de officiële start. Dolf Jansen en Teun (10 jaar) verrichten samen de opening. Teun heeft een werkstuk over ijsberen gemaakt.
Dolf: “In tijden van DRILL BABY DRILL! moeten wij juist staan vóór de ijsbeer, en tegen het smelten, tegen de vernietiging van de planeet, en vóór alle generaties na ons.” Een gelegenheidskoor treedt ook op.
Het smelten van de ijsbeer duurt tot 2 weken, afhankelijk van het weer. Zolang de ijsbeer smelt zijn er tussen 9.00 en 17.00 uur leden van Extinction Rebellion aanwezig om informatie te geven en om ideeën te verzamelen. De gemeente Utrecht heeft hiervoor een evenementen vergunning gegeven.

Na de vordering op de A12 ben ik weggegaan. Bij het verlaten van de weg zagen we een charge van de ME en bleven staan kijken wat er gebeurde. Daarna wilden we door naar het station lopen, maar werden door de politie tegengehouden en moesten we ons bij een groep die ze al vasthielden voegen. Kregen te horen dat we aangehouden waren, maar zonder verdere reden. Mochten in elk geval niet meer weg, onder dreiging van geweld. Uiteindelijk naar het ado stadion verplaatst en daar vrijgelaten. #a12 #xr
