#Clay is so common, I can't believe I took no notice of it for most of my life. As soon as I learned it was abundant in the landscape, I just started seeing it everywhere. "Earthen Rainbow: Working with #WildClay Terra Sigillata at Midrange" is a #zine I wrote describing this experience of connecting with the land and how it's inspired my studio practice. It's also a guide for other clay artists, with technical tips and recipes.

Decided to make a master post of my zines so far (all available for free at ko-fi.com/jack55555):

The Wrong Name is a collection of poetry and prose about my journey as a nonbinary person, both before and after coming out.

Learning to Love Myself (or Not) is a collection of poetry about mental wellness, finding happiness, self care, and learning that sometimes the best way to address or contextualize painful parts of your life doesn’t look the way people say it should.

Manic/Depressive is made up of a short written piece about my experiences as a bipolar person and common misconceptions about bipolar disorder (particularly mania), asnd three poems written during different kinds of episodes (depressive, manic, and mixed).

The One Night Stand is a short collection of poems with some emotional, sweet, silly, and awkward stories from the first year of my relationship with my now wife. :blobheartcat:

This thing of sketching is getting a bit out of hand and today I finally challenged myself to sketch on a zoom call - which I found so weird (gonna write about it more)
but how couldn’t I sketch while listening to the fascinating zines made by @Aepasek
She was so inspiring and her work is amazing

"Fuck attitudes and vegetables!" I received a wonderful collection of Hammer of Damnation zines in the mail. I got a few copies when they were published and had fond memories of them. So when @Skorpio informed this compilation was going to be published, i put it on the list of must-haves. Especially issue 5 was important as i picked up a lot of Cold Meat Industry stuff after that, for example everything Mortiis had released at that point.
