The Dire Mushrump

I sculpted a little clay goblin head for , and I made a silicone mold

Then the next time I was casting silicone I had some extra, so I made another mold

Now I can cast 2 resin goblin heads at a time and decorate them (very fun to decide what attributes they should have) and soon I'll have all 7 I need to make a dice set

I think I need a red pair next!

My fingers holding a chickpea-sized grey polymer clay goblin head. I sculpted it freehand and used metal nail art pearls for the eyes so they'd stay nice and round as I was working The goblin has a beak-like nose, large pointy ears, two tusks that come up out of its lower lip, and an angry expression
Making a mold, the goblin is hot glued to a bead in a plastic shot glass, and clear silicone is being poured over the top to form a very detailed mold with a resin reservoir formed by the bead at the top once it's turned upside down The reservoir means that once any bubbles work their way out of the goblin head, the space can be filled with the extra resin and there won't be any voids
A dark blue resin goblin head cast from the mold, temporarily hot glued to a popsicle stick as a handle so I don't get paint on my fingers It's been drybrushed in lighter blue with off white eyeballs and tusks. I just added a tiny gold pearl to one ear as an earring
Four goblin heads I've made so far: Leaf green with some model grass as spiky hair Lime green with a copper hoop earring Slate blue with the gold pearl earring from the last picture, also one tusk isn't white, it's gold And powder blue with silver wire-rimmed glasses

I've finally cast and decorated the other goblins I wanted for this 7 piece polyhedral dice set, so the gang's all here 👹

Seven resin goblin heads lined up on double sided tape on a tongue depressor A green one with a stripe of grasslike green hair A blue one with a gold tusk and gold ball earring A red one with red moss ear hair A green one with a copper hoop earring A blue one with silver wire rim glasses A red one with pink moss eyebrows And a purple king goblin, with gold and silver ear studs, a gold hoop earring, a copper ball earring, a silver crescent hoop nose ring, and a gold and red crown
