@QasimRashid If anyone is inclined to dismiss Hegseth's disqualifying history, remember that the man has never overseen any group larger than a platoon. 50 people max, over a period of 12 months.
He would be supervising more than THREE MILLION personnel and overseeing a budget approaching ONE TRILLION DOLLARS.
This is akin to sending a teenaged baby sitter to run Apple or ExxonMobil. Presumably the baby sitter would have better ethics and character.

Watched a little of Hegseth hearing. It's gratifying to see our best Democratic Senators asking real questions, pushing him for answers, examining his questionable personal background, using his own quotes against him when he lies.
Especially impressed by Senators who served in the military, like Mark Kelly and Tammy Duckworth. Also Gillibrand, King, Whitehouse. No holds barred questioning is revealing him as unfit for one of the most consequential positions in the world

This, right here, is the cherry on top of why he can't be SecDef. This is 100% contrary to US military Spirit and tradition.
The bigger problem the US is going to have is that if #Hegseth becomes #SecDef , is the same one we have with SCOTUS and that we're going to have with Trump: no standing, no legitimacy.
With his view on LOAC and the Geneva convention, he's no better than Thomas and Alito. No one in uniform will respect him.
