The rest of today I spent pulling endless nails out of our log walls to remove the old cupboard that was nailed to them in what we want to make into a bathroom.

The cupboard was made from recycled doors. Some still had readable numbers. Door number 514. No idea where those came from.

Kept most doors to use for concrete formwork in the future.

That crowbar set from Lidl is very good by the way. Perfect for this job.

A big nail has been dug out of a white door that is nailed to a wall. It is now being levered further out by an angled prybar with a green plastic handle, using a second angled prybar as a raised fulcrum. The tools have a Parkside logo on them. On the side a blue door has boards nailed to it where the shelves used to rest.
A rather big nail on a big gloves. It extends from the middle finger to the wrist. It's bent from being pulled out, but has minimal rust, which is a great indicator for dryness of the log.
The white door, now removed from the wall and leaning against it. The back is dusty with cobwebs and the number "514" can be read on it, in small digits. The handles is removed but the metal plate where it was remains. A blue door on the left has been cut in half to ease removal. A modern aluminium stepladder rests folded nearby.

How do people have their nails always well-painted? For me, pieces start to fall off after 2/3 days (or even earlier 😭) and after a week couple millimeters on the top are completely away. I would have to repaint it every day (currently I do every one/two weeks) for such a result (taking hour(s) each time), and I don't want to do that 😭😭😭!
