#ArtAdventCalendar Day 25: my husband felted the first cabled sweater I knit so I turned it into these Christmas decorations using glass seed beads, vintage beads, bracelet pieces, and a vintage button.
Whatever you're doing today, even if it's just another Wednesday for you, I hope it’s a good one and that you don't have anything accidentally run through the wash, but if you do, all's not lost.

For #invertefest, and some extra #artAdventCalendar posts till the end of December, I will post some of my 2024 #invertebrate art. This was a commissioned of my choice of invertebrates in Indonesia. I chose the Great Mormon Butterfly because I thought its black/white/grey and red colour scheme was so graphic and would make a great print. Interestingly though, they don’t always look like this.

I will end #ArtAdventCalendar with the festive holiday display that this year I erected by myself while my wife was in recovery. It is transient art, but it brings us joy to view it for a couple months as we relive memories attached to each ornament, some handcrafted by family or friends, some purchased on trips together, some lasting snippets of our lives before we found ourselves and each other.
So #ArtAdventCalendar is at an end once more, and I’m out delivering homemade egg nog, as is my Christmas Eve tradition.
Here’s my offering for a final advent image, because if filling a KitchenAid with whipped egg whites *right up to the very edge* of the bowl—but not a drop over—isn’t art, I don’t know what is.

Some festive fungi for today's drawing. The colors aren't quite red and green, but I love pink with green at this time of year...and most of the time, actually.
Dec 24...the last day of this series in the last year of sane, intelligent, govt of the people, by the people, and for the people of the US.
Beyond this point be monsters.
For this occasion there is only one thing that I've made that speaks to the feeling which, as someone said, is not like watching the 2016 election, but rather is like watching the plane hit the second tower.
We knew then. Our hearts stopped as realization hit us - this was on purpose.
We know now.
