DRP fallout in my office. Work redistributed, spread thin. With DRP-DoD more are going to leave
Had some good and not so good folks leave with the DRP. Over the past month the work was distributed amongst the team and cadence is somewhat normal. As of two weeks ago the approved DRPers left and deep diving their work has been “fun” given that multiple documents haven’t been revised since 2022. ANYWAY, we are spread thin and during a team meeting last week a couple folks said that if another DRP comes they are jumping ship as to avoid any fallout. Well after Petey signed the Initiating the Workforce Acceleration and Recapitalization Initiative. The work text chat (the one minus leadership) blew up, 5 folks confirmed that the moment the memo and email gets released they are signing up. Not mad at them, but damn! Not sure what the plan will be to cover, but we will be severely understaffed. I’m genuinely curious, does anyone here have a similar situation? At least for our program office (overall not just my division), we will be severely imploding!

Wondering if any expert fed employees (former/current) could shed light on how auditing in the government actually works.
The media seems to be hellbent on just accepting the narrative put forth by President Trump that "waste, fraud, and abuse" are being swept under the rug. Although, props to Wired for actually talking to federal auditors! Anyway, just interested in having the facts of what processes are in place to uncover w,f,a. To be fair, I'm not saying that anything is perfect, but everyone is just acting like the government has never thought to make sure they had transparency and I really hate that. Maybe it's finally time to ban Fox News from Govt installations
The Fox News franchise and the audience they attract have a dangerously loose relationship with reality. Allowing this network to continue to be displayed in government facilities, while it continues to carry the water for the inept leaders who put the entirety of government and government contracts and public services into a tailspin, with Fox influencing the terrible situation, seems especially cruel and irresponsible now.

I just can’t do this anymore, probie
It’s just too much this libo. I don’t know how much more I can take of the back and forth between if I have a job or don’t. When I was terminated on 2/13 I had just started my fed job. I have only had one paycheck in 6 months… I feel sick to my stomach. I had hope with reinstatements but now having to wait for scotus to chime in just is too much. I just feel like I’m drowning and there is no end in sight. I am a REAL person. The uncertainty is killing me. I just want a job. I just want security. I’m have never experienced this level of anxiety and fear that I have been feeling these past months. I can’t eat or sleep I just feel like I’m suffocating all the time. I don’t even feel human anymore. The lack of empathy this administration has for working class Americans has honestly shook me to my very core. I just feel like as a nation we are lost. And no one cares that facism has arrived. Literal lives are being destroyed. I’ve called my union, my representatives, literally anyone and everyone and I just feel really forgotten and sad. I’ve been applying to jobs, reaching out to my network etc and have not even gotten a single interview. For context, I’m a 27 f. With the talented applicant pool of fed workers in the dc area, who tf is gonna hire me?I don’t even know what to do anymore. I have no money, I have no job. I don’t even leave the house anymore cause everything requires money. I have just lost myself completely. Is there even any hope?
