The Dire Mushrump

I sculpted a little clay goblin head for , and I made a silicone mold

Then the next time I was casting silicone I had some extra, so I made another mold

Now I can cast 2 resin goblin heads at a time and decorate them (very fun to decide what attributes they should have) and soon I'll have all 7 I need to make a dice set

I think I need a red pair next!

My fingers holding a chickpea-sized grey polymer clay goblin head. I sculpted it freehand and used metal nail art pearls for the eyes so they'd stay nice and round as I was working The goblin has a beak-like nose, large pointy ears, two tusks that come up out of its lower lip, and an angry expression
Making a mold, the goblin is hot glued to a bead in a plastic shot glass, and clear silicone is being poured over the top to form a very detailed mold with a resin reservoir formed by the bead at the top once it's turned upside down The reservoir means that once any bubbles work their way out of the goblin head, the space can be filled with the extra resin and there won't be any voids
A dark blue resin goblin head cast from the mold, temporarily hot glued to a popsicle stick as a handle so I don't get paint on my fingers It's been drybrushed in lighter blue with off white eyeballs and tusks. I just added a tiny gold pearl to one ear as an earring
Four goblin heads I've made so far: Leaf green with some model grass as spiky hair Lime green with a copper hoop earring Slate blue with the gold pearl earring from the last picture, also one tusk isn't white, it's gold And powder blue with silver wire-rimmed glasses

7th goblins: Björn & Elín.

I thought it appropriate that my last entry for Goblin Week should include a pair of armored goblins. They fight injustice, while supporting and protecting each other.

Two drawings of goblins, clad in armor and holding weapons. Left goblin: Bjorn has hair tied back into a ponytail, they have a face like a foo dog, a furry vest and they're holding a battle axe. The front of the breast plate has a logo(consisting of a male symbol with a stroke, with a male and female symbol around a circle) and a butterfly on it. Right goblin: Elin is sitting on a moss-covered rock, holding a spear, hair brushed on one side, a pig-like snout, heavy armor(shoulder, kneepads with spikes), aheavy eyebrows, bearing her teeth and looking fierce. The front of the armor breast plate has a symbol consisting of a circle with 3 arrows pointing down, as well as a heart.
