At the sessions I am going to we are doing quick poses too (2-5 minutes) and I am using pencil for those. Included one from the last session that I liked. I’ll get there, one day!

Posting from the session from the other week. Progress feels quite slow, im trying a lot of different things and techniques to make watercolors do something that resembles my intentions. Wasn’t going to post because there is a lot of bad efforts lately (also when painting), but I like to see other people’s sketches too and I’m cheering them on in their artistic struggle even or especially when they don’t make highly commercially exploitable pictures.

Das Bild zeigt mehrere Bleistiftskizzen, die verschiedene Posen und Gesichtsausdrücke einer jungen Frau mit einem auffälligen Haarschmuck darstellen. Die Skizzen wirken dynamisch und expressiv, mit starken Linien und Schattierungen. Die Frau ist in unterschiedlichen Kleidungsstilen abgebildet, von locker fallenden Gewändern bis hin zu eher figurbetonten Outfits. Es gibt auch eine Skizze eines Kopfes allein, ohne Körper. Insgesamt wirkt das Bild wie eine Sammlung von Studien zur Darstellung von Bewegung, Haltung und Ausdruck.

Das Bild zeigt eine Reihe von Bleistiftskizzen, die verschiedene männliche Akte in verschiedenen Posen darstellen. Die Skizzen sind schnell und locker ausgeführt und zeigen die Bewegung und die Form der Körper. Die meisten Akte sind bärtig und muskulös. Einige sitzen, andere stehen oder liegen, und jede Pose vermittelt unterschiedliche Stimmungen und Emotionen, von Ruhe bis dynamischer Bewegung. Das Bild wirkt wie eine Sammlung von Studien zur menschlichen Figur.

I think I’ll make another replychain with these watercolor ones. They are still very rough, but I think I am getting slightly better at controlling it.
Met an artist that told me that I was too old to have a chance at making it. I am glad that that loess is off my chest now :D

Hmm this week I wanted to start doing figure drawings with pastel, but I didn’t order those yet. So i started doing water Color sketches instead. It’s funny how that works, but I think I will maybe stick to those for a bit before moving on to pastels
