Die beiden ... Er klettert aus dem Hof hoch, schnappt sich einen Apfel, knabbert ungeduldig daran, springt auf ihr Häuschen, schnuppert hinein, hüpft zurück auf den Balkon, tappelt auf der Balustrade und klettert wieder in den Hof. Eine halbe Stunde später kommt sie aus eben diesem Häuschen, trinkt, blickt in den Hof, putzt sich, schnuppert an seinem Tappelduft – und folgt ihm. Hörchenleben am Montagmorgen

Squirrel on the Roof
This morning, I stepped out the backdoor and spotted a little eastern gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) sunning itself on the roof of my backyard shed. It must have leapt there from a nearby tree, perhaps drawn by the warmth of the roof. The chilly morning air made it the perfect spot to soak up some heat.

On our front porch we have drapes to block the sun when we're sitting there.
This morning I saw a small red squirrel bundling up one of the drapes in its mouth... to try and take the whole thing away, pulling ferociously at the curtain rod!
It did it several times before admitting defeat.
Forget lions, wolves or whatever.
I want to channel my inner squirrel: "I maybe small but I don't give a sh*t! I'll try anyway, again and again!"
