I've taken on a major project & have been very busy but having fun. Unfortunately, I'll have much less time to photograph #SpringFlowers like this red maple form yesterday.

But it's really nice to have TOO many fun things to do.

A high contrast vertical image of reflecion of light on my bathroom tiles. The joints looks like a bit as a cross of a window frame and the vertical one is at the left edge and the horizontal one almost at the center. The light reflection looks like a ghost with dark eyes at the upper tile and the body and two feet at the bottom of the image, and the whole ghost-like shape is very blurry in shape.

In the background another flower is partly visible but out of focus. The background is blurry and dark behind the two flowers, which are lit by the sunlight. The blurry one lays in shadow. Above them a wave-like sunny part and at the upper part of the image, it looks like someone have painted the shadows with three broad vertical bruch strokes a bit apart of each other making it look a bit like some blurry eyes of a big panda bears head.

The fate of America’s democracy, therefore, depends in good measure on the fight to preserve media freedom. The battle lines are no longer about who controls the narrative or who gets access to the president. It's more elemental. Media organizations across the country must rally to defend their rights, protect their people, and report the news with independence. In practical terms, this means preparing their newsrooms to work in a more adversarial environment, marshalling legal resources, and building strong alliances around a shared commitment to press freedom. If they fail —and the ramparts have already been breached—then America’s authoritarian future may be all but inevitable. Once autocracy takes hold, it’s very hard to dislodge. There may be no going back— to democracy.

Here's another shot of that lovely liverwort from yesterday (previous post). I took this with my 200-500mm wildlife lens. Gonna try to get back to #ClearCreekTrail with the macro lens so I can get closer/better detail.

Popping in from hiatus to post this beauty. This is liverwort (Anemone hepatica) & it's one of my absolute favorites. I look for it in early #spring on #ClearCreekTrail. Usually find 1-2 plants but this yr found a whole patch.
