The “#TargetFast” coincides w/ #Lent & is the latest #consumer action against one of the largest retail companies in the country. Since #Target announced that it would roll back some #DEI efforts, including plans to hire from underrepresented groups, consumer #boycotts & demonstrations have sprung up across the country. Many occurred during #Black History Month, & on Feb 28, consumers participated in a 24hr“economic blackout” of major corporate chains.

Attys for the #unions said they planned to amend their complaint over the weekend to include 4 other #FederalAgencies: #Health & Human Services, the Dept of #Education & the #Consumer #Financial #Protection Bureau.

"Department of #Labor employees have been told to unquestionably give #DOGE operatives access to any system or information they request, or else face #termination," the lawsuit said, alleging that DOGE's pattern of conduct has been "replete with violations of #law."

Chopra was one of the more important #regulators from the previous admin. Chopra’s tenure saw the removal of #MedicalDebt from #CreditReports & limits on #overdrafts #penalties, all based on the premise that the financial system could be fairer & more competitive in ways that helped #consumers.

…All of these businesses—whether from #Asia, #Europe or the #UnitedStates —would also have to contend with any added duties on components they import from #China, which remains the go-to source of many of the parts, tools & equipment.

[all of those costs, #tariffs, #taxes, #duties, #SupplyChain rerouting, shipping, relocation, etc, get passed on to the #consumer. #Prices for American consumers will go up.]
