I have just come from a #Council meeting not directly associated with my #Politics but facing similar #community #communication #Issues. On the '#Liberal #Left #Socialist ' wing we are fragmented, Many #narcisstic #Officers . I always argued for one #media #office to speak for all. 'We' had the £'s pre #StopBrexit & after to fund an office & the talent to staff it. Now? No one single voice speaking #Truth to #Power @NRM @PeterCorr

Other than its falling apart and awkward to get in/out of (due to the one way system) I've not got a problem with the old maltings site in #Ipswich being used for a #carpark - but I think its a bit of a pisstake the #Council is essentially expecting motorists to be unpaid security guards by their presence (when it costs the same to park in as all the other Council car parks, and there are better ones just a few metres away!)
#Tories came close to #fighting amongst themselves at a #Council meeting in #Oldham #Lancashire - #GMP (Greater #Manchester #Police) were called to Council chambers!
My local #Council in #Ipswich #Suffolk #England is #hiring for an #IT #ServiceDesk #apprentice - whilst the #salary is low for the sector its a #hybrid #job (2 days only in the office) and they are providing full #training - and its unusual to see any public sector organisation hiring real humans in Britain for entry level #tech #jobs that are still in-house!

#Reading is also divided in half by the #RiverThames - there are only 3 points to cross it - at #Caversham Bridge, Reading Bridge and just outside in #Sonning - even this afternoon that bridge must have been #flooded , as #Wokingham #Council and #TVP (Thames Valley Police) had closed off the road (adding to the traffic on the remaining two bridge crossings). The Council wants to build a third bridge but surrounding Councils are against it
