And it's done. Really great writing and characters and a good ending. I played most of the game on "story mode" difficulty because I did not like the combat system at all. I understand that real time with pause was a nod to the old Baldur's Gate games, but it got repeatedly in the way of me enjoying the story. Still worked well as a package, I did not miss more intense fights. #PillarsOfEternity #gaming

The game dev community in Ottawa is extremely close nit, supportive, and everyone knows each other.

Our local meetups are Ottawa Game Makers and Dirty Rectangles.

If you were hoping for a convention... we're not big enough for that so we go to Toronto or Montreal for those. But I've been itching to get back out to conventions again.

If you follow me you know I play a lot of Dragon Age Origins. I'm always on my final, final campaign, definitely the last one 😁 While I have now started BG3, and am thoroughly enjoying it, it's reserved for the daylight hours, so I am still sneaking in an hour or two of DAO on those evenings when I have enough spoons available and still enjoying it thoroughly. So, I thought I'd start a wee thread on the mods I am personally using with DAO in case anyone was interested, only the thread became so long I decided to create a blog post on my website instead 😊

Good morning Fellow Travellers on Spaceship Earth 🌎 I'm up early with the parrots again this morning and have just put Ziggy back into her cage after another successful medicine delivery, this time so enthusiastic was she to get the baby food that she practically licked the chrome off the spoon 😊 I'm glad it went so easily today as all of them were a bit unsettled last night due to the man being here fitting the smart meters and the power being off for an hour or so. The worst was having their Classic FM Calm off, but luckily I bought a solar powered/ wind up radio after the last storm when we lost power and we could use that. I have since discovered that both Jadie and Ziggy are Lady Gaga fans due to the enthusiastic "Too too too" ing along to her music 🙂

Gaming day today. Maybe some BG3, but yes, I did just start another DAO campaign yet again 😂

PS I wish players on social media who reply to mini-event announcements with hate would just
a) not play the event if they don't like it, or
b) stay quiet because they just make themselves angrier, or
c) remember MMO companies *are* making other content like raids, raid difficulty tiers, main story, crafting and weapon relic mechanics and questlines etc etc.

Allow #gaming companies some serendipity, some space to be frivolous. Permission to chill.

Be nice, it's not as hard as you might think.
