Just saw PYGMALION (1938) on 35mm at the Paris Theater in NYC.

Wendy Hiller and Leslie Howard had roughly the same age difference as Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison, but their chemistry is infinitely more genuine.

George Bernard Shaw’s Oscar-winning adaptation of his play feels like a screwball comedy. Delightful.

I thoroughly dislike musicals - so now I've said it.
But, the performance of 'My Fair Lady' at Curve Leicester was jolly good.

I've not seen it on stage or the film before but I knew a lot of the songs.
It was a sumptuous presentation with a splendid cast of talented artists.
Considering it was a musical the story was easy to follow and the songs fitted the narrative (Tim Rice take lessons!).

I was steadily feeling increasingly unwell during the show which took the shine off it a bit but I can recommend it if you want a feel good evening in Leicester.
