To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Chrono Trigger, I've collected all my copies. All bought at the time!
As a Frenchman, I was lucky enough to have a store nearby that sold SNES games imported from the US/Japan

Avui fa 20 anys que ens arribava "Robots" per "Nintendo DS" de #Nintendo . #Robots #NintendoDs #Videojocs #Gaming #VideoGames #RetroGaming #ClassicGaming #RetroGames #VideojocsAntics
It's fully operational! I've replaced the digitiser now, and got a fancy new stainless steel and white stylus to match the rest of the setup! I haven't got any GBA cartridges to test with, but I can't see any reason why they wouldn't be fine - and the whole point of this case is seeing things! If you know exactly where to look, you can see my red bodge wires running to the replacement fuse, even.
The only original parts left are the main board, the wifi antenna, microphone, and the speakers. Not entirely sure this still counts as a "repair" ...
Ha, hahahaha, it is done.
Sweet Jesus. I never want to pick this game up again. Or if I do. It will be in about... 10 or so years' time.
#FireEmblemShadowDragon has become my 35th #RetroAchievements Mastery, and with that finished, I can now move onto something else.
I'm not sure what I will move into next. I need to clean up Mario Bros 3, which will be a decent time, and I have fallen behind on YouTube recordings. So, illness has stopped from jumping back on camera, but that is clearing up.
Preview for Moon on Nintendo DS.

20 years of Nintendo DS. Collected a few games in that time. Most when they were new. #retroGaming #NintendoDS
I am loving seeing everyone's favourite #NintendoDS games, it also makes me smile when I see lots of JRPGs.
The DS was possibly a lot of people's gateways into JRPGs.
Now that I think about it, I am struggling to think of any particularly bad ones. I have no doubt there are some that are particularly Meh, or possibly downright atrocious.
But the quantity of quality JRPGs on the DS is something to behold.
@COMPU73E@mstdn.games Whew, I went over and looked at my shelf of games, and it really made me realize that the DS had an incredible library. It's tough to pick just five.
#NintendoDS
After some delay (read: sleep), here are probably my 5 favorite #NintendoDS games :3
Top 5 #NintendoDS games! Since many other people have mentioned Radiant Historia I left it out, but it's definitely high on the list for me. The thing is, I never owned a DS. I had to borrow my sister's to play SoulSilver. I bought most of my DS games off ebay years later when I finally bought a 3DS. Which is good because the price of some of these now is scary.
The one thing I remember about the #NintendoDS launch and subsequent years: being too poor to afford it.
It's nice seeing other people sharing their memories of the console tho.
Top 5? It was tough so I sourced only the games I physically have. In no particular order:
Devil Survivor 2
Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 3rd Story
Rune Factory 2
Pokemon Heart Gold
Nintendogs
In honour of the #NintendoDS I need to also put out a shortlist of some of my favourite titles.
I don't want to go for obvious things, like your typical Nintendo first party stuff. So no Mario or Zelda or Pokemon. Let's try going for, not obscure titles but, some slightly different ones.
Etrian Odyssey 2: Heroes of Lagaard
Disgaea DS
Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
Final Fantasy: The 4 heroes of light
That's a lot of RPGs... Let's add a few more for variety
Theresia: Dear Emille
Megaman Zero Collection
Custom Robo Arena
Scribblenauts
Taiko no Tatsujin!
So, let's talk #NintendoDS to celebrate the anniversary. Don't worry, this isn't about Fire Emblem
I got my DS not long after launch, I had saved up money from a paper round and had enough money to buy it.
I went into a nearby larger town with multiple electronic and game stores to get one.
It was sold out EVERYWHERE.
I find one in an old Dixons. But I learned when I took it to the counter, i apparently had to buy it as a bundle, with an extra game, £10 more than I had.
As I am debating my future. A guy stumbles into the store it a bag of £ coins. Slams them down on the table, saying he had won big at the slot machines.
He sees my distress and asks what's wrong, and I mention I am about £10 short for the DS. He tells the ship assistant he will cover the missing money, and I leave beaming from the power of generosity. I got the last DS in town.
As I leave, the guy asks the shop assistant if they had any of those new Nintendo consoles in stock
I will never forget his sacrifice.
thought I'd join in with all the posts about the 20th anniversary of the #NintendoDS and post my top 5 games for the system
what are your top 5 DS games?

The Nintendo is 20 years old today.
It's still wild to me that it released two weeks earlier in the US, compared to Japan.
In Europe, we would have to wait till March to get the system, which is why this launch edition is from March 2005.
Feature titled: Touch the Future.

I'm... Nearly done.... so close to that Mastery.
It's going to be another two days of plugging away, I think.
#FireEmblemShadowDragon #RetroAchievements mastery was the biggest mistake I ever made...
The #NintendoDS is now a retro console! It released Nov 21, 2004 in North America and came to Japan the following month, and other regions in 2005.
The second best selling console in history, only behind the PlayStation 2. Happy 20th anniversary!
