On 10th October, the #Labour Government published the Employment Rights Bill (ERB), promised as part of their manifesto and the Plan to Make Work Pay.
Today, we learn that various measures within this bill: such as Zero Hours Contracts, Day One protection from dismissal, and Fire and Re-hire will be diluted and or removed as #Reeves' advisers have told her that they hamper growth.
To me, it represents another matter that Labour has rowed back from to chase the capitalist money God
I am sure that misogyny is a problem - although ‘insider briefings’ Against prominent politicians are nothing new - Remember #Corbyn.
However comments aimed at these people must surely also have a basis in their positions and their behaviour? #Reeves on her misguided and incompetent approach to cutting benefits to apply a stick, both she and #Rayner (and of course #Starmer) on their blatant acceptance of bribes - whoops gifts.
Politicians like to talk about the ‘optics’ - in this case it is reasonable to wonder whether Reeves has very very dark rose tinted spectacles.

OK, child labour today, one assumes the resumption of (formal) slavery to follow. I suspect Florida has few chimneys that need cleaning, but with what DeSantis is doing with educations may mean that kids need to do something to occupy their time. Reeves are you watching for your next idea?

How does cutting Pip and freezing the health element of Universal Credit help get people into work? It’s penalising disabled people for being disabled.

Hmmm…#Tories broke the #NHS and social care, and now Labour wonder why so many people need Pip…and if they take it away from them, that’ll get them into work. Completely unhinged and cruel.
Am I the only one to be questioning why Personal Independence Payments (Pip) are being cut with a #Labour assumption that this will force disabled people into work?
Pip is awarded regardless of whether you are in work or not…it’s about helping you to be independent in terms of washing yourself, cooking and getting about.
To conflate it with an unemployment benefit is as I understand it disingenuous.
Yet #Reeves argues this and the media parrots it.
