Does anyone know about #infovis research being done on the perception of #arrows in maps and visualizations? Like, are arrows representing quantities being interpreted by length or area? What is the influence of different arrow shapes? What role does the arrow angle play? Does the Muller-Lyer illusion have an effect on arrow interpretation? Would be thankful for any hints to infovis literature
