Good Moo everyone! I am finally back up with the parrots in an attempt to try to ease back into my normal routine and give poor Grant a break and a long lie as he's been running around like a dafty looking after me and the Crew since my recent mecfs crash. I may need to go back to bed in a bit, but for now I managed the spoons to clean and feed them all at least, and cuddle Ziggy of course
I have so missed my morning Ziggy cuddles! And I think she has too, because she sat with me for ages, just tucked up under my chin, grumbling away to herself.
So another day of not doing much on the cards, frustrating, but necessary to recover. A new crochet order came in last night and I have the competition toy to work on, but I'll have to hold off for another day or two as much as my very essence is screaming at me to get on with it. And all of this due to a broken loo!
Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to
Good morning everyone I have just woken up after another day of very low spoons yesterday. I've made an effort to come downstairs as I was missing my parrots. I actually had a dream in which I had gone shopping with Ziggy, who was being so very cute, and we met up with another lady and her boyfriend who were doing parrot displays. Later I found them both on stretchers after some kind of accident and tried to find sticky notes so I could give them my number in case they needed my help. And all the time Zigs was being adorable...so I definitely had to come and see her after that
Grant has been doing a good job of looking after me so he's on a well deserved birding walk this morning and a glorious day for it too. I do miss walking. With the river and the forest there are so many good walks around here. Today though, I will continue to take it very easy.
Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to
The return of the sunbirds
For years, I was fortunate enough to watch sunbird couples hatch their chicks right at my balcony. They've returned this year.

A pretty little cardinal from my bird collection!

Here's a wee tawny owl that Grant met at the World of Wings to brighten your timeline. Tawny owls generally live to about four or five years in the wild, but this wee old gentleman is over 20 years old and is about to retire from his job of being a Bird of Prey ambassador.
Good morning Fellow Travellers Around the Sun How on earth are we at the end of the week already? March is just zooming past! When I had finished cleaning the parrots' cages this morning and opened Ziggy's door to let her out she immediately said "Good Moo!" again and blew me a kiss. Then she pooped, said "Poop!" just to let me know, hopped onto my shoulder, tucked herself under my chin and said "Good bird!', which of course she is. It does not matter how weary I may feel in the morning, a little shot of Ziggy just perks me right up
Parrot kitchen today: fresh chop and that hummus to make. The chickpeas have been soaking in the fridge for three days now so they will cook up nicely in the One Pot. After that I will be working on the competition crochet toy and watching something, still to be decided.
Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to. Be as silly as you like and have lots of fun
We had bad weather today, lots of rain on top of all the existing snow of the last weeks...

A sweet little bluebird..happy Saturday!

Good morning Fellow Travellers on Spaceship Earth My internal alarm totally failed me this morning and I woke up only ten minutes before I normally wake the parrots so it was a mad panic. Still, I managed to get everything sorted in record time so was able to serve them breakfast only about five minutes later than normal. Ziggy rewarded me with a lovely (if short) cuddle up under my chin and said "I love you!" as she was doing so
I think my alarm failed me, because with the downstairs loo still out of commission, I'm having to slog upstairs all the time. If I didn't have Mecfs that wouldn't be an issue, but it does tire me out. I have a lovely plumber, but he's also a farmer and he's doing lambing at the moment, so I will just need to be patient and probably just go to bed a bit earlier from now on
Out this morning and then gaming later. BG3 today.

Good morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm I'm up late today as Grant is going out on an RSBP work party and got up for the parrots, and a lovely day he has for it too. Coffee has been poured so now I'm settling in with the Crew to wake myself up and listen to some Classic FM Calm. After the initial excitement of morning greetings, Ziggy is back under her preening arch grumbling away and Jadie is playing with her toys, but Toby has started randomly screeching again so my visit may be cut short. Eclectus screaming before one is even awake is no fun!
Remember I had that dream about my toilet being broken? Well yesterday it did actually break. So now I do need to get a plumber out. Maybe I should also set up Madame Caz's tent with a crystal ball while I'm at it
More crochet today. Hoping to finish the Kids' Drawing Toy order.
Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to
July 1961: Some budgie enrichment

Good morning you lovely lot I was cleaning Jadie's cage earlier and saw a subtle movement under the tray and jumped with fright as I thought it was a mouse, only to find it was my own slippered foot that I had wiggled...if you're wondering how my day is going
I had the briefest of cuddles with a very hungry Ziggy who was saying "Come! Come!" the moment I took her out of her cage. She did give me a very brief preen, but food was her main focus. She is now tucked up under her preening arch as full as a tick, grumbling away with contentment.
Fresh chop to make this morning and I need to get some chickpeas soaking so I can cook them over the weekend and make parrot hummus. Then I will be working on the most recent Kids' drawing crochet toy order and watching Ghosts again probably
Have a lovely day, whatever you get up to
A little throwback to one I recently sold called Stevie Ray Raven, happy Wednesday!
