Just another day at the bookbinder's workbench!

I enjoy making historical binding structures for props and everyday use. This is an authentic Egyptian papyrus scroll with stained finials and a white muslin leader/cover.

I have a horrible habit of gradually using more and more pressure when hand foiling, and I end up burning holes thru my bookcloth.
