Bought a #lamy #notebook yesterday, because I finally found one on sale (10 instead of 20€ for the A5 hardcover).

But I’m mostly pissed after the first use today. #fountainpen ink instantly feathers and starts to bleed thru! I only got black in medium & dry nib, so I didn’t even gave it a challenge! It’s like writing on a newspaper and not a notebook from manufacturer that is known for their FOUNTAIN PENS and INKS.

No page numbers, coloured edge blocks Japanese index style.

What a fail.

This is the definition of "trust the process".

I wasn't really sure about the layout and elements I've chosen, but all it took is a layer of black acrylic paint. It really brought everything together. I lowkey like how it looks just in black, but I can't wait to paint it more.

Materials used: EVA foam, tissue paper, string, air dry clay, acrylic flowers and diamonds, decorative gravel

Cover of a spiral notebook with brick like relief background. There's a shield and a sword made out of brown foam with three acrylic roses in cream, yellow and mint color glued on top. There are white air dry clay fern leaves framing the shield. Three strings of twine are scattered around the perimeter, and there are scrunched up blobs of white tissue paper glued on the background. There is also a bit of decorative gravel in the nooks around the shielf.
The same cover but everything is painted over by black acrylic color, making everything look more seamless.

So, this is my first post on Mastodon (this is my #introduction ) and since it is relatively new year yet, I decided to share a photo which shows one of my #crafts from the last year. I consider this one myself quite a nice conversation starter, so don't be shy!

These covers are made for a #notebook in approximately A5 size. #Covers are decorated by #handcarved #floral and curvy motifs, #handmade out of #vegtan #leather

There is an eye-like triangular symbol at the center which in turn has a green precious stone installed in it. Color of the covers is mahogany. Photo background is colorful carved medieval door sill.
Photo features the back side of the leather covers for a notebook. These covers are all over decorated by hand carved floral and curvy motifs, so the back side is similar to the front with some small exceptions. As the floral motifs are drawn in such a shape that they frame beautifully the eye-like symbol on the front cover, I flipped it on the back side. This way the floral decorations frame the styled letter "M" on the back side. Color of the covers is mahogany. Photo background is colorful carved medieval door sill.

Jakob Thoböll - R.I.P. Natenom

Heute an der Installation von #Linux auf einem #asus #notebook gescheitert, noch bevor ich richtig angefangen habe: Das #bios (von 2012) hat trotz aller Versuche den (intakten, getesteten) Bootstick nicht als bootfähiges Medium akzeptiert oder auch nur in der Liste angezeigt.
Das hat sich bei mir noch kein Computer getraut. Freue mich auf Tipps, diese Schlacht will ich nicht verlieren.
