@sheddi @pluralistic @frameworkcomputer @iFixit Meanwhile, if a larger #hackerspace can recruit enough mechanics and electricians (and a couple engineers, if they're not already members) and partner with a suitably equipped garage, there could be a similar market for replacing computerized automotive electronics. Perhaps this would be best paired with an existing #EV retrofit business.

But the appliance retrofitting would have a much lower capital startup cost. Perhaps automotive electronics retrofits could be a sequel to the appliances, seeded with proceeds from those.

So today is not going entirely to plan.
The set of additional #solarpanels I connected up refuse to give us juice. I tried to trace the fault and got jack shit info because my cheap ass 19 year old #multimeter is (confirmed by many tests now) not working any more. Its fuse is fine too, as is its #battery. It just displays zeros.
So add to the list of unexpected expenses and delays one new multimeter...

It might look like a clickbait still from a random YouTube video, but removing a cracked camera lens on a phone requires some creativity. Without professional tools, one clever approach is to glue a screw to the broken glass and gently pull it out.

The ingenuity and resourcefulness of people at our Friday Nighthack sessions never fail to impress!
